With many museums, zoos and architecture, there is plenty to do in Singapore; venture into China town and Little India with its colourful charm and religious monuments dotted around the area for a start. If you're looking for something a little different then Singapore Flyer is for you, it is taller than London's Eye and has spectacular panoramic views around the city and further. The city also offers a hop on hop off bus at a very reasonable price, where you can get around the city on your own without missing the hotspots.

 

Nightlife

There is enough nightlife to suit most tourists' taste, like having a rickshaw ride, which is one of the popular means of transport in the busy streets. Viewing the town by night is quite impressive, so definitely do this and then stop off at the theatre and see a fabulous show, or perhaps take in a movie. For those looking for a buzz, then the dazzling nightclubs in the city play the latest tunes and are perfect for nightlife. The area is teaming with pubs and clubs. If you like a little jazz then there are clubs with live music, not forgetting the premier clubs where the business men and women of the city let their hair down. Some of the clubs are quite expensive and so are the imported alcohols, so budget for this. For those of you who don't want to dance the night away, there are evening cruises on fabulous authentic ships with sumptuous surroundings for romantic couples. A night safari with the family is the best way to see the rare and endangered nocturnal species, as well as Hyena and among others, the Rhinoceros.

 

Eating

Singapore has many ethnic foods available all around the city with French, Italian, Mexican and most other international foods available. Food is a passion in this country and you will be spoilt for choice, but why not taste some authentic Malay food like Bak Kut The, which is Chinese spare ribs cooked in a delicious soup with five spices, peppers and garlic. It is delicious accompanied with white rice. Noodles and fish head curries are very popular too.

 

Shopping

You're spoilt with shopping experiences in this busy modern city centre, selling everything from designer items to souvenirs. With many shops in China Town and little India being very reasonable, this bright and colourful area to shop will allow you to purchase some bargains to take back home with you.
