Last night I was talking to my uncle living in Prague, who described me about this beautiful city. He told me about the climate and other attractions that aroused my interest in this place and within few hours I decided that I would pay a visit to my uncle.
I got down to some serious business and extensively searched for the airline discount and plane tickets to Prague. Fortunately I found one and booked it immediately. For those who don’t know, Prague is the capital city of Czech Republic and is surrounded by a number of European powers; Austria, Slovakia, Poland and Germany on all its sides.
All the flights to Prague were scheduled on time and I reached to my uncle’s place in time. During my quest to find the cheap flights to Prague I came to know about the geography and climate of this beautiful city.
Situated on the banks of River Vltava, the geographical coordinates of the city are 50.05 North and 14.24 East. It lies in the centre of Bohemian basin that comprises of rolling plains, hills and plateaus that are surrounded by low mountains and hills. The city has the same latitude as that of its neighboring countries Austria and Germany.
Being located in the central part of Europe, the climate of Prague is known for its extreme weather patterns. The changes in season add to the romantic flavor and feel of the city, making it the best time to visit Prague. The city enjoys a mild to cool climate all throughout the year. You just need to book your cheap tickets to Prague to reach in the city. However, being one of the major financial centers of Europe, the city is subjected to a number of hazards such as air pollution and water pollution which pose a great health risks and other concerns.
My uncle suggested me some places that one should visit on coming to Prague. We visited a number of shopping malls and other places such as Prague Castle which is biggest ancient castle in the world according to Guinness. Besides, this we also visited the Charles Bridge which connects the Old Town of the city to the Lesser Town. We also head out to Old Town to see and explore the history and heritage of the city of Prague.
To sum up my experience of the Prague, all I can say you that this city is a fine blend of its past and present. The people here are warm and friendly which itself is one of the biggest reasons as to why should one come to Prague. The city has something for everyone who comes here.
